Ning Zou (she/her)
Department of Information Culture and Data Stewardship,
School of Computing and Information
Hi, I'm Ning. It's nice to see you.
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Library and Information Science at the School of Computing and Information, University of Pittsburgh, and an affiliated researcher with the Information Retrieval, Integration and Synthesis (iRiS) lab at the Department of Informatics and Networked Systems. I also hold a master in Library and Information Science and a certificate of advanced study in Data Science from the School of Information Studies, Syracuse University.
My research integrates information science, health informatics, and science and technology studies. I use mixed methods to explore datafied dementia care: how data tracking technologies can support, change, and impact health information practices in the care journey. With the long-term goal of enhancing family-centered care infrastructure for the elderly population, my research aims to promote digital equity by ensuring the appropriate and meaningful use of personal data and information in evolving information environments.
When I am off from work, I immerse myself in nature and indulge in hiking.
